Trump Heads to Israel Following Ceasefire: US President Donald Trump declared the war in Gaza over. This is his first visit to Israel since he helped broker a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. He will deliver a speech at the Knesset and later co-chair a peace conference in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

Trump said Qatar helped broker the ceasefire and that Prime Minister Netanyahu had done a "great job." He stated that some hostages may be released early and a "peace board" will soon be formed to rebuild Gaza.

The ceasefire, brokered by the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, held for a third day. Under the agreement, Hamas will release all remaining hostages, while Israel will release 250 Palestinian prisoners. The first phase of the release of 20 hostages will begin on Monday morning.

Peace Summit

Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will co-chair a peace summit in Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday. Leaders from more than 20 countries, including India, France, the UK, Italy, Turkey, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia, will attend. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and European Council President Antonio Costa will also be present.

Israel's Stance

Prime Minister Netanyahu said, "A new path begins tomorrow—a path of rebuilding, healing, and unity." He declared "victory" over Hamas but warned that security challenges are far from over.

Thousands of Palestinians are heading toward Gaza City. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have launched Operation "Returning Home," bringing back hostages held by Hamas.
